What can it be used for? The XLR multicore cable is 8 way, it has 8 sends (inputs).

It is used on stage as the main line of communication between the mixer and recording equipment. A common use would be 8 microphones plugged into the 8 inputs, the loom/snake would then run to a mixer. It is perfect for use in live conditions, for example in theatres, on stage or in a studio. Numbered XLR connectors - The XLR connectors on our multicore are numbered so the correct connection of equipment can be made easily. This prevents interference and reduces noise and crosstalk from other sources that may be situated around the multicore cable.
